NOTW: OPI Just a Little Rosti at This

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Normally I like to put up Nail of the Week posts on Friday (they just seem to go with the lighthearted end of the week), but I've got a much longer one coming up on a hairdo I've been wearing a lot so there's been a slight shuffling in the schedule.

But what a polish to take the honorary Wednesday slot! This, everyone, is my most-worn nail polish of all time.

Should we take a minute to let that sink in?

This is what I wear when I can't decide what color to paint my nails, this is the nail polish that doesn't reside with the rest of my collection because it has a sacred place on my nightstand. This is the polish that will stain my nails for weeks because once I put it on, I never want to wear anything else.

I know it doesn't look like anything extraordinary, but vampy fall-winter shades are my favorites and this is the absolute perfect creamy, plummy-brown wine color. It's not so deep that it looks Elvira-esque on long nails and not so dark that it looks more brown than burgundy--it's just perfect.

I have a lot of these dark maroon colors but none of them are like this one--they're all too pink, too red, too brown or too shimmery. I love a metallic finish just as much as the next girl, but you really can't go wrong with a good creamy shade.

Just a Little Rosti at This (pronounced roshti--I guess I did learn something from my trip to Zurich this past summer!) was released last year with the Swiss collection but apparently has since been made a permanent color--thank goodness!

But what I can't get over is that it's been almost exactly a year since I've acquired this polish and look how much of it I've already gone through....

I never thought I was capable of finishing an entire bottle of nail polish but this one might be running on empty in another years time!

So excited about the next post! I've learned how to style my hair in a pretty, quick, and ridiculously easy hairdo that I can't wait to share with you all!

P.S. If you were wondering why there wasn't a NOTW post last week, it's because I wore a color I'd already blogged about--Butter London's Bluey. (See post here!)

Happy Wednesday!
