South Street Seaport and Street Fair Sunday--A Day in Pictures!

Sunday, September 25, 2011

I haven't done a "Day in Pictures" post since I was in Europe over the summer (link to the last one from Germany) because I don't think my everyday life is exciting enough to blog about. Today, though, I spent the day with some friends and we came across a few exciting things in the city that might be worthy of a quick post.

First we were downtown at the South Street Seaport which I haven't been to in a good 10 years. It was weirdly sunny in the morning so we all enjoyed the nice weather for the brief amount of time it lasted...

Had a good chuckle at this...

Then stopped at Shake Shack for a sinfully delicious and probably extremely unhealthy lunch...

But I don't think any of us regret a bite... =)

Walked uptown to work off the meal where we stumbled across a street fair! They take place just about weekly in the summertime, so this was probably the last one of the season...

Of course with a street fair comes street food...

Did you read the sign on that last one? Deep fried oreos?!! I'm sure some would be disgusted by that idea, but of course I'm not friends with those people...

Later in the day, we made an amazing discovery! They're opening a Panera in Manhattan! If you've had their iced green tea, strawberry poppyseed salad or broccoli cheddar soup, you know why this is a big deal...(Sorry for the crappy picture, but I was too excited)

Was too full for dinner, but still wound up stopping at Pinkberry on my way home (shameless)...

And capped off my night with Bridesmaids and a burning candle for some relaxation time before the start of another hectic week...

Bliss.

Don't you just love Sundays?

For those of you who could care less about my life, a false eyelash post is coming up next!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
