NOTW: Sephora by OPI I'm Wired

Guten Tag from Switzerland!

After what should have been a reasonably comfortable plane ride was ruined by horrible people sitting behind me (folks it's possible to stand up without yanking down the seat in front of you!) I arrived here at 9 am Zurich time, 3 am New York time. In the hours since then it's been a whirlwind of eating (croissants and chocolate have already been consumed), napping, and shopping for more food to devour.

Sympathy, please, for this new rigorous lifestyle I'm leading!

Now because it is my first day here, we're not really going to be doing anything exciting--but I'm told we're heading off to Germany in a bit for some sightseeing and chicken. Weird, I know--I too was not aware the land of beers and brauts was also famous for their poultry.

So until we do something noteworthy, I'll tide you over with the nail polish post of this week! I'm not fond of Sephora by OPI polishes as I find them streaky--and frankly if you're going to collaborate with a world-famous nail polish brand you might want to keep their amazing signature wide brush!

But I'm a sucker for pretty colors, and despite my better judgement, this perfect bright, coral-pink shade had to come home with me. It's sort of the ubiquitous summer shade, and as I find colors that are too orange unflattering on my skin tone, the pinkiness makes me look less sickly.

I know the shade looks completely tangerine orange in the picture, but swatch it for yourself in Sephora and see what I'm talking about! And if you're wondering why my paint job was even crappier than usual, it's because the streaky formulation makes it a pain and a half to get an even coating.

Is that going to stop me from wearing this all summer?

Not a chance.

Auf Wiedersehen!
