Beauty Cravings: 4/9/11

I'm back with what is likely to be the start of a new series in which I post about some items I am currently lusting after. (As in, I've been obsessively eyeing them on websites or in person but haven't quite managed to purchase them for various reasons).

1. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush: I'm a blush hoarder, but this particular item makes the list because it's supposed to be incredibly pigmented and insanely long-lasting, not to mention good for your skin! Their shades are all lovely--but I've got my eye on "tipsy" and perhaps "natural beauty" as well.

2. Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion: I tend to obsess about my hair (I've always figured that if I couldn't have a particularly good face or body, my hair had better be pretty amazing) and this stuff happens to be magic. I've had it before, but decided not to repurchase it seeing as I already have so many other hair products to use up. It's very moisturizing and nourishing for dry hair, but is also light enough not to weigh it down.

3. Fresh Sugar Lychee Eau du Parfum: I am absolutely OBSESSED with this perfume. It's fruity and sweet but not at all overly so--there's a definite hit of floral notes in there as well. It's just such a lovely springtime fragrance that I can't resist spraying whenever I'm in Sephora.

4. NARS Ophelia Lip Gloss: Not only is this berry lip gloss incredibly flattering and long-wearing, but check out that name! Ophelia--one of my favorite Shakespearean ladies! My only qualm with this gloss is that I feel like it smells weird--like a strong lipsticky scent.

5. Rapidlash: I'm not even going to pretend like I'm not obsessed with eyelashes. I'm rather lucky with mine as they're a bit on the long side--but they're just so fine and thin! I want full, thick, lush lashes (who doesn't?) and as the side effects of Latisse tend to scare me, this looks like a much better alternative. I just wish it wasn't $50!

6. Lavanila Healthy Deodorant: As much as I love (and need) deodorant, I'm very wary of it. All those chemicals--particularly aluminum--are not at all good for you. The ingredient list of any deodorant or antiperspirant is honestly terrifying to me. This one is clinical strength, 100% natural and doesn't contain parabens or sulfates. I'm sure I'll be picking up this particular item sometime soon.

7. Urban Decay De-Slick: If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know all about my ridiculously oily skin. This spray (formulated by Skindinavia--the brand famous for their makeup sprays) is meant to be used before and after makeup to keep your face oils at bay. While this product sounds completely necessary for me, particularly as the warmer season approaches, I'll have to do some more research into it as I'm not sure how well it delivers.

8. Dior Addict Ultra Gloss: I know, I know, it's $27 for a lip gloss! This item is probably the one I'm least likely to actually buy as I just can't justify the price--but this lip gloss is such a dream. A heavenly, smooth, not at ALL sticky dream. Dior really has the most lovely color selection of these pretty babies--"watermelon pink" and "evening rose" are two of my favorites. Any chance they'll be going on sale anytime soon...?

Will I wind up owning all of these things? Highly unlikely as buying just one or two would be an indulgence for me. But hey, that's the point of these posts, right?

A girl can dream.

  1. hello,

i am very interested in the dior lipgloss that you mentioned. Do you dare to straight up swap on the lipgloss at stores like sephora? Perhaps for your next post you can write about the danger and cautions for random people sharing make up?

    Love the blog! Thanks!
